Animation to traditional Art works. This short film also features visuals

At
Madame Tussauds London you have the opportunity to undergo a celebrity
makeover. Using photo manipulation a customer can be transformed into
their favourite star.
A still photograph can be purchased by the customer but 'Morph Another
Day' is a film compilation of my best images produced. |

An
entertaining family film about a little girl's love for winter snow. Her
imagination soon wanders and before long she's on a wild chase to recover
a valuable possession (a carrot).

As
well as learning the fact "I really can't act," in this project
I was taught the principles of film special effects. The requirements
of this film were to include:
- Two versions of me on screen using greenscreen techniques.
- A digital matte painting.
- Particle effects such as smoke or fire.
- And to composite a 3D model that interacts with live footage.

'Post
Production' is a montage of the special effects development featured in
Reprise. |

I
was challenged by Sean Liu to make a short film that included a lightsabre
effect. Two days later this was the outcome. |

The main content is based upon a screen record of an artwork produced using Facebook's Graffiti application. An image materialises with added effects to keep interest. |

The
beginning of something much bigger. With 2D and 3D graphics often being
rivaled, my partner Dan Williamson and myself decided to prove that the
two styles can actually compliment each other.
Dan focused on the 3D graphics in Maya, while I undertook the 2D Flash
elements. However from time to time we may assist each other, we are not
restricted to our own field of expertise. |
 |
An
advertisement for a new cookery show aimed at students, for them to spend
a little more time in the kitchen to make a fantastic meal. Myself and
Dan Williamson also provided the voices for the two characters Jimi Carl,
the chef and his assistant Tom Andrews.
We've improved the compositing techniques since Broken Sky with much more
realistic shadows and reflections. |

An
animation exactly one minute long, exploring the creative fun around the
classic office furniture.
Award winning. This project won the Young At Art Award run by the University
of the Arts London in 2004 and featured on BBC2's Blast Friday in 2006. |
 |
'2.1
and a Bit of Fun,' is the title to a documentary about the University
of Kent. The 10 minute film highlights the exciting and buzzing life of
campus and its great facilities. Due to the length of the film only a
small clip is available to download: "What is your favourite
cereal?" |
 |
Originally
a book, this animation was produced for the Promis Recovery Centre aimed
at children who are surrounded by the effects of addiction. |
 |
This
animation was my first major project undertaken using Flash. At the time
I only had four months experience in using this program and so it was
a big learning curve.
This project won the Young At Art Award run by the University of the Arts
London in 2003. |
 |
A
short animation promoting some of the networking capabilities of this
IT company, All Things PC. |
 |
A
series of short animations promoting the various activities RS Entertainment
offers, such as sumo suits; bouncy castles and rodeo machines. I was required
to design this strange creature, Alan which is now the company's mascot. |
 |
My
first major 3D modeling and animating project in Maya. The task was to
make a 15 to 30 second animated loop for a University DVD menu screen.
For those who have been to the University of Kent they may recognise the
Bioscience surroundings. |
 |
A
project produced for the Imperial College London. This is an informative
animation which illustrates the advantages of LEO Satellites. |
 |
Stop
motion animation mixed with a little Flash and Photoshop. Not one to watch
if you're eating or have just eaten. |
 |
This
is one of those really pointless and random animations. However there
was a point in producing it, to try out new texturing techniques which
were useful in future projects. |
 |
During
my work experience at Feref Limited I was involved with various projects
including this advertising banner. |
 |
Stop motion animation using Flash. As this was made before knowledge of After Effects the jump scene was edited frame by frame in Photoshop. |
